Loose Change is a drama group for people who wouldn’t normally get to do drama. We believe that everyone was made with massive potential to do the world good and we love seeing people unlock that as they join in with us.
Come and join in: you’ll have a laugh, make great friends, and get to make performances about what matters to you.
WHEN & WHERE?
Tuesdays 7-9pm
at the King’s Centre, King Street, NR1 1PH
Admission is free – we think Loose Change is worth paying for, but we want to be a group you can come to if you don’t have much money.

WHAT PEOPLE HAVE SAID...
“What I love about Loose Change is, it’s very much a team thing. I can see how people have grown through doing this work. I hope there has been a change in me.”
“I was filled with fear and trepidation at first. As it gradually started to take shape, I got more into it, and on the night, I found it all really exciting and highly enjoyable. I think it is the best production we’ve done so far and felt very proud to have been part of it. The whole experience I found extremely positive. Well done us!”
“Thanks for drama group… really needed it tonight. It’s a real honour to feel that I can break down with you guys.”
“There’s nowhere else like this round here; where I can make friends.”
“I was walking back after the show, and suddenly the thought came in my head, ‘You did it! You did it!’”
WHAT PEOPLE HAVE SAID ABOUT US
“Loose Change is a well run, friendly & supportive drama group where our clients are able to trust; so that they can experiment, express themselves and try things out. Regularly attending the drama group helps reduce social isolation and contributes to creating structure to a person’s life. It provides a safe environment where our clients are encouraged to develop existing skills, acquire new ones, and work towards achieving goals as members of a team. All of this has the potential to boost self esteem & increase self confidence and this will have a knock-on effect in other areas of life.”
- Marie Watts, Community Engagement Worker, Central Norwich Mind
“In my work with the homeless and vulnerably housed community, I have seen Loose Change Theatre have a powerful effect on the people from that community who have attended. Loose Change employ a highly innovative approach to problems of disengaged and vulnerable people. By recognising people’s experience and nurturing their creativity, they have been able to successfully engage chronically excluded individuals. It is very heartening to see these people empowered to perform in front of large audiences, and progress towards their goals in education, employment and personal relationships.”
- Ermir Prendi, Greater Norwich Rough Sleeper Coordinator
